And maybe nine more books in less than a month is a lofty goal, but by golly I'm gonna try! Plus my computer got killed with a bazillion viruses, so I'll be spending less time on facebook and such (I've highjacked Mary's computer without her knowing so that I could do this. . . Shh! Don't tell!). Also, if I find more fun ones I might modify the list to include/exclude different ones. As I finish the books, I'll update this post and mark them in yellow. And once school starts my goal will be at least one book for fun each semester. Because I've enjoyed this too much; I don't want to forget how much I like reading ever again!
Also, I'm always up for suggestions for my lifetime booklist! Any and all recommendations (outside of anything containing material to which I am morally opposed) are welcome.
Wish me luck!
I just finished These is My Words. I loved it, even though i was soooo sad at the end!
ReplyDeleteI know! Isn't it so good? Probably one of my all-time favorites now.
ReplyDeleteI laughed, I cried. . . . It moved me, Bob.
Excellent list! I love Stargirl and I'm going to start Goose Girl soon. This summer I've been reading juvenile girly fantasy....sounds dumb, but it has been great. Total flashback to my elementary school days. If you are looking for something entertaining, feel-goodsey, but still intellectually-intriguing, I would recommend the more recent Gail Carson Levine books: Fairest, and Ever. Way to make a goal of still doing fun reading throughout the semester!
